Shay Scholes

I’m a Seattle-based filmmaker who believes that clear communication, trust, and empathy are the foundation of any successful production. With a BFA in Film Production from the University of British Columbia, I’ve built my career across narrative features, short films, and commercial content as an Assistant Director, Producer, and Editor.

I’ve guided projects from pre-production through delivery—coordinating departments, building efficient shooting schedules, and maintaining a supportive, solutions-driven set culture. Recent work includes serving as 2nd Assistant Director on the upcoming feature comedy Gamers 4: Dorkness Falls! (2025) and leading productions as 1st AD, including the full-length feature The Cuckoo Clock (2024)

In my commercial work, I’ve contributed to production and post workflows for Amazon, Microsoft, Wild Alaskan Company, Spin Creative, and RUN Studios—always ensuring creative clarity and a smooth path to final delivery.
